satelliittitekniikkaa hyödyntävä lähiverkkoon kytkettävä
huipputarkka NTP-aikapavelin, joka mahdollistaa lähiverkon
laitteiden aikasynkronoinnin ilman internet-yhteyttä.
Ratkaisu koostuu keskusyksiköstä
sekä satellittivastaanottimesta, jossa keskusyksikkö jakaa
satellittiverkosta saatua tarkkaa aikaa NTP-tekniikalla
kaikille lähiverkon laitteille.
Tuotteen tekniset tiedot
Tavallisten tietokoneiden tai tietoliikennelaitteiden
sisäiset kellot ovat epätarkkoja, kuukaudessa kello voi
heittää useita minuutteja. Nykyiset IT-laitteet osaavat
internet-yhteyden avulla päivittää aikansa internetin NTP-
aikapalvelimilta. On myös suljettuja käyttöympäristöjä,
joista liikennöinti internetiin on haluttu estää, kuten
turvalliset tuotekehitys-, testaus-, laboratorio-,
tuotannonohjaus-, sähköverkko-, konesali-, kameravalvonta-
tai kulunvalvontaympäristöt. Tällaisessa ympäristössä
tarvitaan erillinen NTP aikapalvelin, joka palvelee
lähiverkon IT-laitteita tarkan ajan säilyttämiseksi
esim. tallenteissa ja lokitiedoissa.
