PLANET IPOE-162S on teollisuusversioinen PoE-splitteri 
10/100/1000Base-T lähiverkkoon. Se erottaa Ethernet- 
kaapelista PoE-jännitteen erilliselle virtaliittimelle, joka
kytketään esim. WLAN- tukiaseman, IP- puhelimen tai 
sähkölukon virtaliittimeen. Uuden high-power PoE-standardin 
56VDC-jännitetaso muunnetaan 12VDC tai 24VDC jännitteeseen. 
Näin PoE-splitteri mahdollistaa PoE- tekniikan hyödyntämisen
myös laitteilla, jotka eivät ole PoE-yhteensopivia.
